Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of buyme.gifts, a service operated by DC Creative. By using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. The service

buyme.gifts helps people organize wishlists, friends, groups, birthday reminders, and gift exchanges. We do not currently sell, charge for, process payment for, ship or fulfill products shown on wishlists. Gift purchases are arranged directly between users and third-party retailers.

2. Age and account eligibility

You must be 13 or older to create an independent account and may need parental permission where applicable. Adults may create and manage profiles for children younger than 13, who must not independently sign in. A parent or guardian is responsible for information entered into a managed profile. buyme.gifts is for all ages and has no adult-only (21+) items or features. Please provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.

3. User-created content

You are responsible for the wishlists, names, item descriptions, photos and other materials you submit. You retain ownership of your original content and grant DC Creative a limited, nonexclusive license to store, process and display it as needed to operate the service. Do not submit content that violates law, privacy, intellectual property rights or another person's rights.

4. Friends, groups and administrators

Friend requests and group invitations may require approval. A group owner may add administrators and manage memberships; the owner alone may delete their group. Members should use invitation links responsibly and respect other users' privacy and sharing choices.

5. Gift statuses, surprises and exchanges

Gift-givers can mark items for purchase, partially purchased or purchased. Statuses are provided by users and may be inaccurate. buyme.gifts is designed not to show giver-side statuses to the gift recipient or anyone managing their wishlist. The platform cannot guarantee that all gifts arrive, that preferences are satisfied, or that duplicate purchases never happen.

Gift Exchange organizers choose dates and matching rules and may edit, reroll or publish assignments. Organizers and participants are responsible for reviewing assignments and making their own gifting arrangements. Automated gift matching is a planning aid, not a promise of a particular outcome.

6. Prohibited conduct

Do not use the service for harassment, fraud, impersonation, stalking, child exploitation, illegal sales, malicious code, unauthorized access, circumvention of security or age gates, or to disclose others' personal information without permission. We may remove prohibited content and restrict abusive accounts.

7. External retailers

External products, prices and availability can change. Third-party retailers control their own transactions, returns, warranties, shipping and privacy policies. Verify a product independently before purchasing.

8. Availability and beta testing

The service may be offered as a limited beta. Features may change or temporarily be unavailable, and errors or outages may occur. Do not rely on it as the sole record of an important purchase or event.

9. Account closure

You can request account deletion from Account Information. Deletion temporarily disables your account, allows a 30-day cancellation window, and then results in deletion or anonymization through scheduled maintenance, subject to necessary data retention. Before requesting deletion, transfer ownership of or delete any groups you own. Some shared historical references may remain anonymized. If you need help, contact support@buyme.gifts.

10. Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without a guarantee of uninterrupted service or perfect accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, DC Creative is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages arising from unavailable service, incorrect user-submitted gift data, or third-party transactions. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes

We may revise these terms as the service changes. We will post updated terms with a new date and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after effective changes constitutes acceptance when legally permitted.
